When we first moved into our house, my parents gave us a large glass jar to keep spare change. Over the course of our two and a half years in this house, we've accumulated quite the stash of change.
We finally decided to cash it in this weekend, but we made it into a game. We'd each guess how much total money was in the jar, and the person who was the closest would get to choose the restaurant where we would spend (part of) the money for lunch.
Best of all, we have enough to treat ourselves to at least a couple more weekends of lunches, all courtesy of the leftover change from our pockets.

Crazy enough we did that too and had $80, it was such a nice surprise!
I love putting the change in a jar. We have a big jug with a small opening. It takes 2-3 years to fill it but last time we used it for part of Maui trip. Think it was over $3000. I am trying to get it full again (with dreams of Maui) ha
60.00 is great pocket change!
Sounds like something that I would have done with the game....What did ya'll do with the rest of the money? :)
How fun! Glad there was even more $$$ than you imagined in the jar! I love Quizno's too!
We used to have a huge glass jar for change but it got broken :( I'm inspired to get another one now. It is so fun to collect and cash in!
Change adds up so fast!!
