Getting Old

Husband is gone this weekend on a military trip (or “TDY,” if you speak military). I planned to stay up late last night watching chick flicks. But, as I told my mom in an e-mail this morning, I must be on an old person’s schedule because I was asleep on the couch by 9:30PM. My mom took it one step further and pointed out that I also mentioned in that same e-mail about my plans to “go to Home Depot today” and “change out light bulbs.” She said that I have “all the symptoms” of getting old. If my symptoms get worse – say I start talking about prune juice on the blog – I hope that someone will take pity on me and stage an intervention.

I went to the grocery once and the automated coupons I got were for cat litter and mucelex. Would you like to join me in yelling at kids to get off the lawn and knitting socks?

Don't feel bad, I'm an old lady too. I got excited yesterday about having a baked potato for dinner. :)

I had dinner at 4:30 the other day. I'm THISCLOSE to starting to call "pants", "slacks". When that happens, the transformation to old person will be complete.

Well, you might as well start up on some yarn crafts. Crocheting afghans on airplanes is my claim to old lady-dom. :-D

I'm the same way! Weekends are for sleeping now & Old Age is definitely upon me. I don't know how I used to stay up so late and have so much fun! :-)
