Lost in Translation
Today at work I helped a Spanish-speaking client.
I felt pretty proud of myself because I was able to answer all of his questions in Spanish.
It wasn’t until after he left that I realized that the word I thought meant “policy” actually means “police.”
I can only imagine what he thought when I handed him a form and politely asked him to “please read over our policeman.”
Whoops.

Nice! and funny too! :)
hehe! At least you were able to help him! I love it when little things like that just fall into place
I have done that before too! At least you tried and that's what counts! Plus, I'm sure you gave them something to laugh about :)
Hmm, so what IS the word for policy? I think I might have said "policia" too, before realizing..oh wait, that isn't right...
:D You did it though! That's great and I'm sure he figured it out.
Hahaha that's so funny! I'm sure he understood the jist of it though.
Hey you were trying and did a great job!
I've awarded you, well, an award! I enjoy your blog so very much. Please stop by my blog and pick your award up.
lol this is so something I would have done! except I don't even know spanish so maybe I should be happy not to be bilingual? :)
