I had very low expectations about what we would get, as I’ve seen everything at these things from a broken watch to a bag of flour (which I suppose is at least somewhat practical).
But, to my surprise, we took this home:
We’re now the proud owners of a Snuggie.
We were among the last people to choose our gift, which allowed “stealing” an already-opened gift. It wasn’t until I was able to pick a gift that I realized this strong, hidden desire to have a Snuggie. I became so ruthless that I “stole” two different Snuggies – including one from a pregnant woman! I should be ashamed.
I’ll admit, though, that I was giddy when we got home and I tried it on.
And this is one product that does not mislead in its advertising – it truly is a blanket with sleeves! It looks like an oversized wizard’s cloak, or a jumbo poncho.
I realize I look like a total dork wearing it. In other words, it’s perfect.

The sales pitch would be far more inviting if it screamed Wizards Cloak! or any other thing besides the 70's ads. grats on the Snuggie
That sounds like a successful party! I've been trying to convince C to get me one, but he just tells me to put on a robe backwards! He just doesn't get it!

haha! Although I don't own one, I just bought a doggie snuggie for my Mom's dog for christmas. I am a dork like that.
It makes me laugh to see all the generic Snuggies that are popping up. And the names that they come up with! Most of them are even more expensive than the Snuggie. Which doesn't make sense!!

Love it! We had a snuggie at our work party and it got stolen so many times. Such a hit! You know they make snuggies for dogs now, too. Crazy!

Just read this -- and it's hilarious!! I used to hate on the Snuggie until my husband bought a "sports snuggie" for us. and i LOVE IT. I never realized how ineffective blankets were until we got a snuggie!
